Across the Afghanistan, We Are United in Our Dedication to Children’s Rights
Our Approach
The Condition of Children in Afghanistan
Children in Afghanistan endure severe hardships due to ongoing conflict, displacement, and socio-economic challenges. Many face significant stress and trauma that impact their mental and physical well-being. Access to education, healthcare, and protection from violence is limited, leaving them vulnerable and without the necessary support to thrive.
Our Care System
To address these critical issues, the Afghan Save the Child and Protection Organization (ASCPO) is developing a comprehensive care system centered around the needs of children and youth. Our approach is designed to improve the lives of those affected by conflict and ensure they receive the support they need to overcome their circumstances.
Improving Children’s Lives
The ASCPO Care System is an integrated suite of interventions aimed at enhancing the well-being of children impacted by violence. With over 13 years of experience working in challenging environments, we tailor our approach to meet the diverse needs of Afghan children while adhering to the highest humanitarian standards.
By offering a combination of psychosocial support, child protection, and educational opportunities, we empower children to reclaim their lives and rebuild their futures. Our holistic methods work together to maximize impact, ensuring that as many children as possible benefit from our services.
Strengthening Communities
Recognizing that the effects of violence extend beyond individual children, our Care System also addresses the broader community impacts, such as increased rates of child abuse and the breakdown of educational systems. We actively engage families, caregivers, and trusted adults in our initiatives, fostering protective communities that uphold children’s rights and well-being.
Setting New Standards
At ASCPO, we are committed to implementing best practices in humanitarian care while continuously evaluating and refining our interventions through research. By building a robust evidence base, we aim to demonstrate the effectiveness of our programs and attract partnerships that enable us to extend our reach and support to millions of Afghan children.
